Halloween Quilt

Here it is!!! This Halloween Jack 'o Lantern is my first quilting project ever!!! It was really fun and I loved the way it turned out! Last year my incredibly talented Aunt Meridee got Megan, Beth and I together and helped us put these together....yeah mine didn't get done in time for last Halloween...but at least it's done for this one!!! Thank you Meridee for teaching me how to do this!! I love our craft days!!!! LeGrand thought it was cute, but wasn't really enthusiastic about it....he said, "I guess I just don't understand girls....you have a nice piece of material, then you cut it up, sew it back together, then have someone quilt it...." I'm hoping I'll get a little bit more excitement from you guys!! It's cute isn't it?!?!

I am very impressed! Every time I get out my sewing maching I want to throw it through the window. I am amazed at how you have time to do these things too! You are a model LDS wife and mother!

who took your adorable family picture!? And your quilt is soooooooooo adorable. LeGrand just needs to take a lesson from his uncle Lindy. My dad learned to say "That's stinkin' cute!" whenever Mom made something.

I love it, I think the fabrics you chose are great, especially the pumpkin's stem. Good Job, maybe you can teach me someday...I also love the family picture on your header, I keep meaning to get one of all of us. Your family pictures are all so good. Love you!

Becca - way to go! The quilt is super cute and you did such a good job! Yeah! I always tell Jon that the reason I love quilting so much is because there is a finished project at the end. So much of what we do (dishes, laundry, cooking, etc), just has to be redone the next day. Quilts - when they're done, they're done. I also tell him that quilting is cheaper than therapy!

Great job! Is there anything you can't do?

that really is a cute quilt. and i don't usually like quilts to be honest. maybe it's all your black fabrics that are speaking to me. and that pumpkin stem is the cutest! green with black stars. good work. i think you should hang it on the wall in your house until halloween - i wouldn't want my kids' greasy, dirty, slimy hands touching something that took 100+ hours to make! then you can admire your handiwork all the time!
