Brayden playing Football!!

Brayden has been looking forward to the time when he could play football like his daddy. This was the year. Flag football starts in 3rd grade here and Brayden was really excited to play. He was especially excited because Dad was his coach. It was so fun to watch Brayden play. He is such a happy kid who just has fun at everything he does. It was the same on the football field. It didn't matter if they lost, he still had a blast. It's weird to see that my little Brayden is big enough to play football... but he sure is!! I love you Mr. Bray Man!! I think Brayden had the cuttest Cheerleaders of all...
We LOVE you Brayden!!

Come on guys...

What does it take to get two grown men to just smile? When Tyler was here, I wanted to get a cute picture of these two brothers... This is what I got...

I gave up after that...I thought they were cute anyways though....

Tyler, Bryan and Helga coming to visit.

We were able to talk Tyler into coming and spending his birthday with us this year! Tyler and Ben drove down and we had a wonderful weekend with them. Bryan, Helga and Makyla drove down to be with us too. The Boys went golfing for Tyler's birthday, they went to the BYU Football game and were able to go to the Priesthood Session of General Conference together!! It's seriously so fun to be all together!! We have the best family ever!! Thank you everyone for making the trip to be in our home. These Brothers have so much fun together. I'm glad they are such good friends.

Happy Birthday Tyler!!! Since Tyler is a Civil Engineer we made him a traffic light birthday cake. He loved it and so did the kids!

We really just had fun being together and hanging out. The kids loved playing with Ben and holding Makyla. Cousins are the best.

Then the kids decided it was DOG PILE time. All the grownups got dog piled by all the kids!! Too cute!! We love you kiddos!

It's so fun to be with family!! We love you guys!!

General Conference

I was able to take Brayden to the Conference Center to watch the Saturday Morning Session of General Conference this year. Since he was baptized in July this was his first opportunity to go. He was sooooo excited. It was so exciting when we found out that my Parents were coming up for Conference and had tickets to the same session that we did. It was so fun to go together! I love my family. It was an unforgettable experience for me. When President Thomas S. Monson and his Councilors walked in and we all stood up, Brayden could hardly contain his excitement!! I was very reverent and such a good listener. It was a privilege to be there with him!!!

As we were walking back to the van I looked up and was overcome with a sense of Gratitude for what I saw. There was Brayden holding two of his Grandparents hands. I'm so grateful to have been able to go to Conference with Brayden and my Parents and Sisters!! I'm grateful that Brayden has Grandparents who love, teach, guide him and who show him an incredible example of how he should live his life. He's a lucky young man. While we were still walking to the Van, my Parents were stopped and interviewed by a man from Desert News. This is what appeared in the paper the next day. Fun!! Garth Rasmussen, Henderson, Nev., who had traveled to Salt Lake City with his wife, Kathy, and a grandson who was recently baptized, making him eligible for the trip for the first time.
"What a privilege to be in the presence of and listen to a prophet of God. I grew up in Provo and we were 'not invited' so there would be room for others. I particularly appreciated Elder (David A.) Bednar's talk. He advised us to live in our homes what we profess from the pulpit."
What a wonderful Day!!

So exicted for this weekend!!!

Well last Saturday Candace and I were able to go up to Salt Lake and attend the General Relief Society Meeting. We were both just planning on attending the broadcast at our Stake Center, but when Candace's Aunt called and said she had 2 extra tickets we were excited to have this experience. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be in the Conference Center with the Prophet of God. It felt so amazing to be surrounded by thousands of women who know that they are daughters of God, who have the same standards that I have. The messages that were shared were so powerful and I left with such a rejuvenated and refreshing feeling. I know that my Savior loves me, I know that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God. I feel so grateful for my life, my knoweldge that God lives and loves his children and my blessings. I want to be better.

I'm so excited for General Conference Weekend, where we can be taught from Prophets, Apostles and Inspired Leaders. General Conference is going to be amazing...of course it always is!!

If you want a General Conference packet, I got one from this website http://magnifyorsimplify.blogspot.com/. Enjoy!!!
