Swimming Lessons

This year, Brayden, Adelyn and Sophie took Swim Lesson's at 7 Peaks. They were all in different classes because they were in different levels. It would have been nice if they were all in the wave pool the whole time, but reallly they were in opposite ends of the park almost the whole time. Kolby was usually an angel like always, and I got my excersize just running between their classes to cheer them on and take pictures!! Here are my little swimmers!!

Here is Sophie, she was in Level 1 and not so sure about getting in the water... She had great teachers and she really started doing better...we have a ways to go still(Marcia I wish you could teach our kiddos swimming lessons...you are way better than these guys!!)

Isn't she a little batheing beauty!?!?! I love you Sophs the Squeeze!!!

You can tell she's not sure about this. Her teacher was nice, but maybe a little too nice, I wanted her to really make her get in...but Oh well...

Sophie sat on her teachers lap any chance she could.

When I was standing there with a camera she got more excited about swimming, I think she wanted to show off a bit!! Later she asked me if we could put these pictures on our blog...

Sophie, you did such a good job!! I know when you learn how to swim really well you will LOVE it!!! We'll keep practicing!! I love you!! Here is Sophie jumping in to her teacher. That's about as good as we got...

Adelyn loved everything about swim lessons..Zachary and Kirsten Stitt were in her class, she loved to get in and she really liked her teacher. (She was excited that his name was Troy, like Troy Bolton from High School Musical) Adelyn was in Level 2.

Adelyn is a little fish, she gets better and better every time we go swimming. Now she can open her eyes under water and is all over the place. I think she would live in a pool if I let her.

Adelyn had fun with Kirsten and Zach too...Sometimes I think they motivated each other, and other times I think they were distracted...If one of them didn't really want to get in or do something they all decided to follow suit...I'm glad that she had fun!!! The last day of Swim Lessons was a play day and the kids got to go down the slides. They loved it!!! Way to go Adelyn, you went down all by your self.... Brayden you did it too, I just didn't get a picture!!! Good Job Kiddos!! Here's a video of Adelyn, This was toward the beginning of swim lessons....

I couldn't do this post without a picture of Kolby!! Kolby was a trooper. I know he would have rather been splashing in the pool, but he was so happy and content walking all around 7 peaks with mommy!! Thanks for being so supportive to your older brother and sisters Kolby!!! You are a sweet heart!! We love you sooooo much!!!

If you ask Brayden, he'll tell you that he loved swim lessons and that he really liked his teachers... I'll leave it at that except that I don't totally agree with him. Brayden did a really good job, he did everything that he was asked and taught....I wish he learned more...but I'm not getting into that...It was fun to see him having soooo much fun. He had a blast and was totally disappointed when it was over!! Brayden was in level 3.

Isn't that the cutest picture ever. You can just tell Brayden is having a ball!!!

Here are some Video's of him swimming....

And learning how to dive....

It is so fun as a mother to see your children learn new things...especially I guess when I have so many fond memories of swimming. I love swimming. I was practically raised our pool....just kidding, but we were out back in the pool a lot. I remember my swim lessons, it was traumatizing a little bit, I got thrown in and if I didn't swim to the side I would have died;) but at least I learned how to swim. I also remember that the pool tiles were dark green and that was freaky. My teacher wanted me to open my eyes under the water and I just knew if I did frogs would get into my eyes... Mom, thanks for having me take swim lessons even though I kicked and screamed....

What a fun summer you are having!! That is so neat that they were at Seven Peaks, although I am sorry Becca that you had to run all over the place. Way to go kids on doing a great job at swimming lessons! It was so fun to watch you all doing such a good job in the water!
Have fun with Stew and Emily this week...We'll be wishing we were there joining you!

I'm with you on being scared of swimming lessons. My mom had me take them when I was like 4 at the Scera pool in Orem and they forced me to go off the diving board against my will. I have been terrified of diving boards ever since! Looks like your kids did great with the lessons though. Also, I had a favor to ask. One of Ryan's mission buddies is going to med. school at Ohio State in the fall and I know that Ammon graduated from there recently. Would I be able to get Ammon's e-mail address to give to Ryan to give to his friend. (does that even make sense?!) You can either leave a comment on my blog or e-mail me and let me know. My e-mail is liss1998@gmail.com. Thanks!

Cute, cute! I love swimming too. I also wish Marcia was still doing swim lessons. Ben thinks he can swimm a lot better than he can, so it's scary. I sure hope we get to see you guys soon. Please tell Brayden for me that we thought of him on his birthday and we hope he had a great one. Things have been crazy here and we were also without air conditioning all week in 100+ weather. I will be calling you sometime soon!
