She's home!!!

It's hard to believe that Sorrella Rasmussen is already home!!! Liz was a wonderful missionary and we are excited to have her home with us!!! Here are our adventures of the weekend....

LeGrand and I and the kiddos got to the airport almost an hour early...we had fun running around, going on the elevators and escalators...it's a good thing we didn't get kicked off...that would have been lovely!! We'll, we met up with Mom, Dad, Whitney, Stew, Emily, Seth, Brandi and all the kids and ran to meet Liz.... Ammon was flying in too but he was going to land and then run over to where Liz would be coming off...Well we got there, got set up and waited and waited....

Here's Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandkids that were there(We missed you Kirsten, Ethan, Brynlee, Hailey and Karli!!!)

All the sudden we heard a scream and Liz came running up behind us and almost knocked mom over with a huge hug! We had missed her. She got in early and had already got her luggage and everything. We couldn't believe it. LeGrand and I had even been there early and we still missed her. Luckily she forgave us, I think she was just glad that we hadn't forgotten about her. Liz is as beautiful as ever!! It feels good to have her home!

It's blurry, but this is the first picture we got of her....we asked her if she wanted to pose coming out of the terminal but she just laughed at us....
Isn't she a beauty?!?

These kids have been soooo excited to have Liz come home!!!!
Adelyn and Sophie what to grow up and be just like their Aunt Liz....I'm totally ok with that!
Mom and Dad are so happy to have their little girl back!!Group Shots!!! It wouldn't be a Rasmussen group shot without a funny picture or two!
One of the highlights of our trip was on Saturday, Liz wanted to go to the Temple with everyone. Words can't express how wonderful it is to be in the Temple with my husband, my parents and 4 of my siblings. I know that the church is true, I'm grateful for missionaries who sacrifice so much to share the gospel, I'm grateful for Temples and that we can be together forever as a family!! We are truly blessed!!

Paul, Kirsten, Ethan, Brynlee, Hailey and Karli were the only ones missing. It was awesome that Ammon was able to fly in. He's such a stud. I love my family!!!

Welcome Home Liz!!!

Feeding the ducks

We love going on family bike rides....  Before it got really cold we took the family on a bike ride and went to feed the ducks.  Daisy came along too.  We had so much fun.  I love seeing the kids giggling and laughing with eachother!!  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family!!!  The most memorable thing that happened on our adventure was Daisy just decided to jump in and try to chase the ducks.  The kids thought it was great.  Who knew, she's a swimmer.  It was fun to see her all wet.  The kids loved it.

We live in such a beautiful area!!!

Motercycle Man

Our neighbors, Stewart and Cami have a little Motercycle.....and Brayden LOVES it when they let him ride it (which is every time he asks) I have to real him in or else he would be over there all the time riding this bad boy. Thanks guys!!!

Sometimes it's just better to laugh...

Yeah, so don't ask me why I thought that it would be just fine giving Kolby yogurt for breakfast this morning while I ran around trying to get Adelyn and Brayden ready for school....this is what I found when I turned back around....The Pictures tell the story better than words can...
(Daisy's ready for some to come her way...so at least the floor was clean...Thanks Daisy...)
I guess we need to explain to Kolby that we only "wash our hair" in the tub, with Shampoo...not in your high chair with Yogurt.
So even with yogurt all over himself...he's still a cute, happy kid.... I guess we'll keep him. We love you Mr. Mess Maker!!

First Day of School

Brayden and Adelyn have been so excited to go back to school for weeks.... Adelyn was a little nervous to go to school all day long and to eat lunch at school, but Brayden assured her that he would check on her and make sure she's ok...he's such a good big brother!! When they got home from school that day, Adelyn collapsed on the lawn and said she was exhausted...it was so cute to see her tired and worn out from a long day at school. I asked Adelyn what her favorite thing about 1st grade is and she said, "That I get to see Brayden on the Bus, during 1st Recess, Lunch and 2nd Recess then I get to ride home with him on the bus." I thought it was so cute. We told Brayden how proud we were of him for being such a good big brother and being Adelyn's Friend then he said, "Of course we're best friends....she's my Sister!!" They have loved being together so far this year. It sure makes it easier to send your little girly 1st grader on a bus and to school when she has her big brother to look after her. Oh how we love these kiddos. I'm grateful that our family is such good friends.

Sophie's First Day of Preschool was today!! That's why I've waited a week 2 weeks to post the other kids 1st day of school pictures...so they could all be on the same post..Well, Sophie was so excited to be able to so to school today. She was disappointed when mom had to tell her that she couldn't ride the bus...she'll have to wait till Kindergarten to do that. Before we left she was a little bit nervous, but after talking about what will happen at school and saying a little prayer, Sophie was ready. Can't you just see the excitement in her eyes? It's hard to believe that our little Sophie is old enough to go to school...but we know she'll love it and it will be soooo good for her. We love you Sophie!!
