Boys will be boys---Taking me back!!!

These pictures take me back....let me explain....

As a little girl I had an older Brother. (Yes he's still my older Brother!!)  Ammon and I were good friends. When we were little I remember always wanting to play with him. One day he was playing with one of his friends, the friend didn't want me to play too. I was devastated. This was at time that if I could have I would have married my big brother. I will never forget what Ammon did. He told his friend that if I couldn't play with them he wasn't going to play either. Oh, I was blessed with such a good big brother!!! When I see Adelyn playing Football or Basketball with Brayden and his friends it makes me feel so grateful that my little girl has such a good big brother too.

(I found this picture and it made me laugh out loud! This is me with 2 of my brothers, Ammon and Stewart. These are some of the greatest guys I know.You've got to love the fact that Stewart only has one shoe on and you've got to love Ammon's helmet and goggles....I love it!!!!!)

The other thing that takes me back with I see that picture is looking at LeGrand. When LeGrand get home he can't wait to go out and play with the kids. Most of the time with the neighborhood boys ask if Brayden can play they also ask if the Bishop can come out and play too. For those of you that have known me for a long time you will understand why this takes me back. I never really thought that I would marry someone just like my dad. But I did. LeGrand reminds me of my dad in so many ways, not only that they both are in the same career, both have been Bishops, are both worthy righteous priesthood holders, are incredibly busy but make time to coach their children's sports, spend time with their families....the list could go on, but I think you get the point....

When I was little I remember my dad getting home from work and playing with us....sometime he was even still in his suit.(Remind you of anyone?) He loved playing with us when he got home, he would play with all the neighbor kids too. Here are some pictures that I found of my dad playing with us after he got home from work. I think my Daddy is one of the most incredible man ever. I feel blessed everyday that I married someone who has so many characteristics of my Dad.

Ok, I guess enough flash backs....  Our front yard is perfect for a Football game!!

The sport of Brayden's Life....

Brayden just finished his Basketball Season. I've never seen him have so much fun doing something. He LOVES basketball. Every chance he gets he's playing. He takes his ball to school, he sleeps with it, he's out shooting hoops every chance he gets. He's bummed that the season is already over. I think if it went year round he would be happy with that! He's a little baller!! LeGrand loved coaching him. He always does, but he said that this was the funnest coaching experience he's ever had. That's saying a lot!! I'm sure we will have years and years of cheering at basketball games for our Bray Man!!

For homework the other day, Brayden had to write a short story....I don't know if you can read it, but this is what it says.

Basketball

One Day I signed up for Basketball. I have played through all of my basketball games and in just a minute it will be my last Basketball game. I am really sad but I know that I did my best and had fun playing the sport of my life.

The End

He summed it up pretty good. I am glad that he had fun, that he did his best and did good. He's already excited for next Basketball season.......

Good Night

A few nights ago, I walked into Brayden's room to see if he was all ready for bed. This is what I found... It melted my heart! I'm so glad the kids love Daisy!

I'm glad Sophie obeyed at least.... 1 out of 3 isn't so bad....

BYU Basketball game

We went to a BYU Basketball game with a bunch of friends! So fun!! Go Cougars!!

Sledding

We love to go sledding.  We could go all day or just for an hour and it would be fun.  If we don't do fun things in this snow, I'll get sick of it really fast.  Sledding is one of those things that make all this snow totally worth it. 

Kolby is a little dare devil.  He wants to be so grown up and he's not scared at all about going down the hill all by himself.  He even gets up, picks up his disk and heads back up the hill.  It's so fun to watch.  He's growing up so fast!

I didn't get very many pictures of Brayden in action since he was so fearless and fast it was hard to catch him.  He really loves sledding.  Sometime it's makes me a little nervous cause he goes so fast, but he's tough and he loves it.  Way to go Brayden. 

Adelyn and Sophie love it too.  They would rather go from about half way down the hill, at least they did today because the snow was really slick and you really got going fast down this beauty.  I don't blame them.  I went down once from the top and it was fun but I guess I'm a little chicken cause that once was enough for me.
