Time Out for Women

Last Weekend I had an unforgettable experience. A group of friends and I went to Time Out for Women in Salt Lake City. It was the 1st time that they had brought Time Out for Women here and I'm so glad they did. Those of you who have gone understand what I'm talking about when I say it was AWESOME. If you haven't had a chance to go, try to go sometime. It's defiantly worth your while. I'm so glad I was able to go. We listened to amazing speakers like Sheri Dew, Wendy Watson Nelson, Mary Ellen Edmunds, S. Michael Wilcox, Emily Watts Kris Belcher. We listened to inspiring music from Jenny Oaks Baker and Hilary Weeks. We laughed, cried, were uplifted spiritually and had a wonderful time with friends. Oh it was so fun!
We all stayed in a few joining hotel rooms and laughed and played games till the Manager came and told us to keep it down. Oops! :) Here are my roommates, Tara Wetzle, Kathryn Stitt and her sister Corinne.
I'm so glad Tara came with us. If had to sleep in the same bed with someone other that LeGrand I'm glad it was with Tara!!
We took these while we were waiting for lunch at Olive Garden. Yummy!

Me and Jen
Me and MonicaWe had a wonderful time, but I was ready to get home to my cute family and implement the things that I had learned and felt. I left feeling very strongly that my Father in Heaven loves me and understands me. I know that he wants to help be the best mom, wife and daughter of God that I can be. I know he will help me. How amazing is it that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us, and wants to help us. We are all truly Blessed!

It's amazing how those little time outs we take for ourselves help us so much to be a better mother and wife.

I've always wanted to go to one of those. I'm inspired to try harder the next time it comes to Spokane!

You and your friends are too cute! I was wondering, did you get invited to Helga's blog? I didn't.

Becca,
You don't know me. My name is Jared Lindstrom. I was Elder Laings very first companion in Brazil. I was going through my mission stuff after 13 years and saw Elder Laings name in my Journal. I immediately searched his name and came up with your blog. I don't think he has aged 1 year. He is exactly how I remember him. Does he still use the phrase "Getting up at the Butt Crack of Dawn" on a daily basis. I loved serving with him. You have a beautiful family. Tell him I'm looking for him. Thanks, Jared Lindstrom. jared@lindstromcomfort.com, or 801-830-0413. Thanks again.
