We re did our Entertainment Center. It was a lot of work, but it was really fun too!!!! The reason that I threw this first picture in was because I spaced it on taking a before shot....so in this picture you get the idea of what it looked like.
Our camera started acting up, that's why I don't have many before pictures.... this one is tiny, but this is what the video cases looked like that were on the ends of the Entertainment Center.
We took the 4 pieces out to the Garage and took off the doors and sanded them down....
Next we bought Bead Board and Crown Moulding. I antiqued the bead board....
For the Bottom Piece of the Entertainment Center we added 2 shelves so that we could utilize the space better.
Loved the way the shelves turned out... You can't even tell they were an addition!!!! LeGrand did such a good job!!!
Next came the Crown Moulding on the top of 3 of the pieces... Thanks to the help from the Carters, this went like a breeze!!
I have also wanted a BIG family picture up in our home for a long time and we finally got it done!! We got a 20x30 print and had one of our friends Brandon Goss make us a frame!!!! We LOVE it too!!!!
The frame is seriously just what I was wanting!!! It's Beautiful!!!
Here is the New look!!! How fun!!!! What do you think!?!? Now I'm thinking about the Couches....LeGrand likes these but I'm trying to decide if we should at least go and get some slip covers....Any suggestions....Colors.... I could use your advise!!!

wow. becca! I can't believe all the projects you guys have done. I love them all! the beadboard really adds a lot! The family picture is darling!! Way to go!
I love it! You did a great job. Can you come visit me and redo mine? : )
It looks so great! It looks so much more updated. I think your couches look great. I got a slipcover for mine because I didn't prefer the design of it and I bought a solid microfiber dark chocolate brown so it would be nice and soft and I wanted a solid neutral because I like to change my living room accessories and pillows often for a new look and that way everything would match it pretty well. I bought mine at Target for $99 and I'm pretty happy with it. It is two pieces which I think is better for staying on. One piece over the couch and then one on the three cushions. If the kids get really rowdy though, it still slides off the top sides. I love that I can pop it in the washing machine. I'll post a picture of it soon because I just gave our living room a mini makeover too and was going to post pics of it. I didn't do nearly as much work as you did though. Your projects AMAZE me! You are one efficient woman.
I love it, I really like how the cases that were on the sides look like part of it now. I was thinking a dark brown would look good for the couches, or if you want color maybe dark red or cranberry.
Love the new unit! Really love the big family picture! So cute! If you put solid color slip covers on and then add some pillows with a pattern it may make your living room look bigger. Just a thought! Love you!
Holy cow you guys have been busy!!!!! It looks great and I love the crown molding and the beadboard. You guys worked so hard and I can't believe how much different your family room looks now!! The family picture on the wall looks amazing too. It has been so fun see your projects and catching up more what you guys have been up to!! It looks great!!! Luv you tons!!!! Keep up the posting!! ;-D
Looks great Becca!! I love it!!!!! I would stick with the darker themes, you could do slip covers the color of the fabric in your basket or a bit of a lighter neutral cover. Any way you do it it will be fabulous!
Love love LOVE L.O.V.E the new entertainment center makeover! We have an almost identical one that we are currently using in the garage as catch all for cleaning supplies and extra light bulbs and random stuff. It's solid oak and is really heavy and good quality but Peter HATES it because it doesn't match the look of ANYTHING in our house. I want to put it down in the playroom in the basement but he doesn't even want it in there. I SERIOUSLY love what you've done with yours with the mouding on the top and the bead board background! I love it and someday I'm going to do mine, if I ever finish painting all of the blasted orange walls in my house! My father-in-law recovered his couches and said it wasn't too hard. You just take a staple gun and stretch the fabric really tight around it and staple away! And then of course you sew covers for the cushions. I think with your black and the white bead board that some red would look awesome. But I think a dark tan with a good "tooth" or texture to it would be great for the couch and then you could just do red or even yellow pillows or accents in the room (like a vase with one of those colors of flowers in it, or put mats on your pictures with those colors in it, or switch out the lining in your baskets to be one of those colors or if you wanted to do a few hanging pictures you could hang pictures on the wall from that color ribbon) anyway! There's a few ideas. I would go with Yellow or Red accents on a dark tan couch or it you wanted to go really bold you could do a red or yellow couch! Anyway! There are my two cents. But I LOVE what you are doing! So much fun!
Love it. It's amazing what a little face lift will do. How creative you are!
